LUMA Thailand Pass (Thailand)
Some of the highlights at a glance:
- Applicable from age 1-74.
- Coverage from 350,000 THB up to 1,800,000 THB for accident/illness/Covid-19.
- Approved for STV, TR, Non-OA and Non-O Visa*.
- LUMA will issue a separate 400.000/40.000 THB certificate upon request. (Plan 1 and above)
- No Deductible and No Waiting Periods, coverage from Day 1.
- No direct billing EXCEPT FOR Covid-19. If you are hospitalised because of COVID, LUMA will pay the Hospital directly. For other Hospitalisations it will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
- Outpatient is always on a pay and claim back basis.
- When applying online, your Certificate of Insurance will be issued within minutes via email (but it can take longer at busy times).
- All ages the same rates.
- The policy does not cover for medical expenses caused by a Motorbike accident.
*Important message for Dutch nationals applying for a Non-O/Non-OA retirement visa at the Thai Embassy or Consulate in The Netherlands: the LUMA Thailand pass will not be accepted by the authorities as they wish to see a cover of at least 100.000 USD.

Some of the highlights at a glance:
- Applicable from age 6 months to 79.
- If the insured is below 5 Years old, the policy must be bought with at least 1 adult.
- Maximum duration: 180 days.
Restrictions:
With pre-existing conditions - Max. policy period is 30 days
6 months - 65 years old - Max. policy period is 180 days
66 – 79 years old - Max. policy period is 90 days - Coverage up to 750.000 THB for accident/illness/Covid-19.
- You can extend the policy when in Thailand up to the maximum policy duration of 180 days including the initial policy period.
- Approved for the TR Visa.
- Available to foreign expats and travellers only.
- AXA will not issue a separate 400,000/40,000-baht certificate.
- You can extend the policy when in Thailand up to the maximum policy duration of 180 days including the initial policy.
- Direct billing service with a wide range of contract hospitals. No direct billing if it is not a contract Hospital.
- No Deductible and No Waiting Periods, coverage from Day 1.
- The coverage starts the moment you enter Thailand.
- The coverage ends on the end date of the policy or when you leave Thailand. This is a ‘’single-entry’’ policy.
- AXA will only refund if the Visa is rejected because the AXA certificate is not accepted by the Thai Embassy or Consulate.
